WERTHER & GRAY is not only a candle company, but a fragrance brand with an in-house perfumery practice. Most candle scents are now conceived, formulated, and compounded from raw aromatic materials by the owner/perfumer.

The current catalog also reflects the history of the brand; some earlier fragrances were created using commercial fragrance oils, either on their own or in blends. A small number of these remain available as "legacy" scents, while others have since been reworked or reinterpreted through original formulations.

Fragrance authorship is identified on each product page so that the origin of every scent remains clear.
